FFXV vine+memes (making chrs. do silly things)

Not my video. A lot of short bits using animated ffxv characters (the same models that are used in many MMD’s) compiled together. The funny is hit and miss (language warning for anyone sensitive to such) but the very last one (starts around the 5 minute mark) had me ROFL.

I remember the “kitty cat dance” video it’s based on, from years and years ago – having the usually super-serious Ignis mimic it was utterly hilarious.

I always love it when you take stoic chrs. and mod/meme them into out-of-character actions. Which is what I did a lot with poor, tragic Boone from Fallout:New Vegas, back when, like in the below video (I made a few serious FO:NV vids too but…).  Oh man what I’d give for a dance mod for FFXV.

Comment form should be fixed

I had to uninstall then reinstall an updated version of the comment plug-in I use, but it seems to no longer conflict with adblockers.  Also, unrelated, I think you don’t have to use the IMG tags to insert a linked image into the comment field anymore. If you simply cut-paste a direct image hyperlink/url, it automatically displays as the image when you hit Post. At least with .jpg extensions, didn’t test anything else.

And since it’s not a pic-blog without a pic …

It’s always night

Finally found/adapted an adequate “stars” background to use with the greenscreen feature (so many nightsky photos/artwork are too decorative…). Works well to cover the whole area or partial. It’s nice for those times where the daylight distant textures look bleh, or when I don’t want a flat solid color field. Altho, I should probably give it a more gradual darkening so it’s not as even.
These aren’t awesome screenshots, just cheap examples of what I mean. As a bonus, you get the brighter or softer daylight shaders on faces vs. yellowish filters or that harsh blue bro-night light. So mostly I’ll probably use a darker grey and this starfield for greenscreen-ing, now.

It’s almost Christmas – not sure if I’ll take a FFXV break or not. Hubby and I may get wrapped up into some stuff between now and New Years. Plus I did buy a couple new games (Resident Evil 2 remake, Planet Zoo) … may try those for a while. Maybe.

Re: comment form on the blog

Edit:  Dec. 27, 2019 – should be fixed now.

Apparently the “post” and other function buttons are no longer showing up for some people when you try to write/post a comment. I haven’t looked deeply into it but on Firefox, using adblocker addons seems to block them, and disabling the adblockers makes them appear/be usable again. I checked UBlock-Origin and AdblockPlus and while using an older version of Firefox and the latest version of Firefox. I did not test Chrome since I don’t have it installed/won’t install it.

I don’t have any ads on the blog (or anywhere else on my domain) so I can only assume the WP plugin I use for commenting ability is utilizing something that is on one of the adblockers “lists” for some reason.  I may try to find another comment plugin when I’m not feeling lazy or go back to the default WP comment. The main reason I started using a plugin was for a few features for users to use and to make managing comments a bit easier.  There generally aren’t many comments to begin with. In the meantime if you’re using adblockers you can temp disable them to see if that works. If you wish. Cheers. 🙂

So much “work” …

Not all of, but maybe half of my current cut-outs.

Now imagine dozens of “greenscreened” shots like these every time I turn on the game for 30 minutes:

Once every couple of days I might work on a couple at a time. Or at least sift through and see what ones I might want to cutout for whatever reasons and set them aside somewhere. It’s a long haul and continuous thing.

At the moment I’ve been rather distracted by checking out GooglePlay on the Tab-A tablet. All the watch ads or coins systems “free” games. Digital jigsaw puzzles (all the fun, none of the table-space-mess), mobile action-rpg’s, visual novels. Most are trash or too annoying re: ads/”buy rubies!” crap but some are decent time-wasters. Also bought FFXV’s Pocket Edition, at last. It’s actually pretty good, for mobile, although using the touchscreen becomes tiresome after an hour or so. However I can see why mobile gaming (ads/micro-transaction annoyances not withstanding) is such a big thing now. You just have to sift through a ton of idiocy to find the decent ones.
