This is what happens when…

… you wake up in the middle of the night, can’t go back to sleep, and are really bored.

Blog: hubby tossed me a Galaxy Tab-A 10.5″.  Freebies/cast-offs from clients. I didn’t have a cellphone until he gave me an old Samsung S5 a year or two ago (and more recently a S7). I only use the phones as mini ‘net browsers with home wi-fi, no cell/phone service. Anyway, I mention it because my device wallpapers are all currently of Ignis and hubby likes to make fun of me for it. If I leave one in the garage he may enter my pc-room with it and tell me I forgot my boyfriend. 😛

Although since I now have the big tablet, I may change the phones to some anime ones soon.

Fist bump, denied + Did Ignis just parry?

After a successful link, Ignis goes for that fist bump … and Noctis ignores him (can’t fist bump while in defend mode I guess). TeeHee.

So I didn’t think the bro’s parried on their own. It could just be a coincidence but the timing is odd – when Noctis gets the Parry bit, Ignis turns at the exact same time like he’s parrying as well. No resulting linkstrike after the parry, so I don’t know what’s going on there. But it looks cool, like teamwork. Video has full speed first then in slo-mo.

Btw, I was wrong, if you upscale a 1080 video to 1440, YT does use the vp9 codec version. Just takes a while sometimes for the 1440 option to show up after uploading. Upscaling isn’t ideal but still better than the non-vp9 codec. Also, I know the YT embed looks odd on a phone (on standard “tall” viewing). I’m not sure why. Probably a theme thing. It looks normal in the width view. I tried some video plugins but haven’t liked any yet. Finally – why are the two video thumbnails so different in visual quality? YT is so inconsistent sometimes.

Funny outfit mods, lol

Nightyswolf is a Steam Workshop modder that I’ve grabbed a lot of mods from. You can get these outfits and others here.

Here’s a short video of them in “action.” Made me giggle.

The video editor program I’ve decided to use is called Shotcut and is pretty good for free, open-source software. Can do all the basic simple things most people would want to do. More importantly, it will read/open and handle my huge Fraps .avi files (at least on my PC), where a lot of freebie editors I’ve tried, can’t/won’t. I still use VirtualDub to do the initial clip editing then toss it in Shortcut for any transitions/titles etc. and the final compression to .mp4 for Youtube.

All your Ardyn’s belong to us

It’s a glitch that occurs if you’re using a Cheat Engine table to add Ardyn as a follower and then repeatedly use Avatara to switch Noctis appearance over and over. Adding this many WILL affect performance a lot. They do not follow you, and the duplicates do not remain upon reloading a save. But they do shuffle around and react to environment “spaces”, so you can bump into them to make them move if you wish, and they interfere with traffic and enemies will attack them, among other  things. It’s hilarious.

It also works with Umbra, but that’s for another day.

FF-XIV collaboration, misc

I still find this sort of pictorial type of series amusing. Don’t ask me why, I have no idea.

DO YOU NEED A GROUP HUG?

Ignis refused to wear his new outfit/costume.   (…a mod I use interferes with it – and only this outfit – for some reason)

Noctis and Gladio portraits, just because.

I need to take more of Noctis, but since I’m usually controlling him, when I pause via Ansel he’s usually doing nothing, in the background. 😛

Ardyn, the DLC of Hats

Note: This DLC is another case where I end up thinking many pics only look good on a bigger screen so when I’m running through them later I’m not sure they’re good for a blog. I’ll post a different themed entry later tho. For myself, I found the DLC overall fun, somewhere between Ignis’ DLC and Prompto’s. Like if Ignis’ was an A and Prompto’s was a B-, Ardyn’s would be a B+. Just in my opinion, of course. The one area Ardyn’s dlc is lacking is combat. It’s like Ardyn is Superman and there is no Kryptonite. But they did go all-in for story and lore. And the hats.

He really likes his hats. So do I, for that matter. I didn’t count, but I think there’s like 15 or 16 total hats? Or maybe it was only 12-ish. It was a lot, anyway.

Ardyn doesn’t need a bed to rest in – a bench and some coffee will do.

Ardyn mid-aerial attack. That hat stays on, of course.

I still like his usual hat the best, although that top-hat comes close.
