How about uploading a few clips every now and then? I remember the one you posted where everyone was still as a statue but their hair (fur?) was still blowing in the wind, reminded me of the Matrix. Seeing the guys in action in their various mods would be a nice change of pace, as well.
And everybody loves seeing glitches! If you had any expected/unexpected glitches, whether by video or pictures, let’s see them!
Yeah I originally intended to that occasionally but on the PC version I so far almost never hit the record button. It’s hard to catch most glitches or funny moments as they happen, they’re often half-over by the time you hit Record, and I don’t have the disk space to just record constantly and hope something happens. Even if I had a 6TB recording drive, FRAPS can eat up 250GB in just an hour for example (I have 30 second clips that are 1.5GB in raw form). And if I wanted smoother/consistent videos I’d have to play in 1080 all the time instead of 4k …plus even simple editing/rendering of videos to upload often takes a lot more time and … when it comes down to it, I’m simply lazy. 😀
I could grab simple vids of mod use tho. I’ve thought about it but often there are already enough on YouTube.
Is it possible to directly post images onto the comment section? I tried recently through an Imgur embed link but it didn’t work.
And can we edit or delete our own comments? My post on Cindy part2 looks weird now, and there’s nothing I can about it 🙁
Those types of options are all done with created plugins. I’ve seen a few but I’m a bit leery of how they affect security measures (eg, bots/spammers). Forum software is much better for those kinds of abilities and control. But I’ll take a longer look. 🙂
Ok, so you should now be able to edit a comment for up to an hour. I don’t think I want to allow deletion. I fixed your post for you tho. 😛
You can embed images using html img tags (< img > imagelink < /img > remove extra spaces in example text) and a direct image link (ends in .jpg) and it’ll show up as a thumbnail image link. However this won’t shrink the image file size so if people embed a lot of huge images in a comment section it can slow page loading. If this blog remains very inactive/slow, which I expect, that should be fine. Not sure how much I like this plugin, it feels a bit clunky, especially in mobile display which these days is a pretty big thing to consider, but it seemed the best one. Per usual these days if I want more configuration “features” for it I’d have to pay, and I refuse to pay. 😀
Subscribing to an entry discussion page = getting an email notification. To unsub just hit the sub field again and the option should show up.
Oooh, I like the new additions, and an edit button was sorely needed. I’m usually the kind of guy that doesn’t notice typos until after I hit post <.<
