He’ll stand there forever if you make him
Side rumination: Outside of spending a few minutes with the Igster and co. now and then, I’ve also been watching Hulu’s Castle Rock series (pretty good, I’d recommend it) and reading this very long manga (Noblesse, also recommended). I was thinking about how nowadays it’s hard to read manga or watch animes without being constantly reminded, in an indrect sort of way, of Ignis and Noct. They follow so many of the common visual anime/manga chr. traits.
I suggest reading Uzumaki if you’re into horror/seinen stuff. Freaking awesome. It also has a main character who wears glasses and will stop at nothing to protect his girl, so there’s that to remind you of Ignis as well.
Tried it – a little too weird for me/I don’t “get” it. 😀 I mostly like S. King like “horror” – where horror is used for broad psychological and human nature/relationship ruminations. Or some ghost stories. Or if it’s comedic horror like the films Tremors/Evil Dead 2. Heh.
